DAYTONA BEACH -- A gun-packing woman suspected of robbing a convenience store on Derbyshire Road has been identified and investigators are looking for help finding her.

Johneschia Allen, 19, is wanted on two warrants -- one for robbery with a firearm and use of a firearm during a felony, a Volusia County sheriff's spokesman said Tuesday.

Sheriff's spokesman Brandon Haught said Allen walked into Kelly's Food Mart, 1000 Derbyshire Road, on Sunday afternoon and demanded at gunpoint that the clerk place the cash drawer on the counter. Allen grabbed some money and some tobacco products and ran off, Haught said.

After investigators looked at the surveillance tape from Kelly's, the clerk told them Allen was a regular customer but didn't know her name. Haught said a school resource officer recognized Allen's picture because the officer had dealt with the suspect when Allen was younger.

The school resource officer identified Allen and the identification was confirmed by the store clerk after she was shown a photo lineup, Haught said.

Anyone with information regarding Allen is asked to call sheriff's Investigator Richard Graves at 386-323-0151, or Crime Stoppers at 888-277-TIPS (8477).

PORT ORANGE

Nicholas K. Fank, 48, of Port Orange was arrested July 14 and charged with burglary of a structure, grand theft and criminal mischief.

At 2 a.m. June 20, an officer was dispatched to a bar in the 5000 block of Ridgewood Avenue in reference to a burglary. The officer and the owner later viewed surveillance video that showed a white male about 45 to 55 years old wearing a T-shirt with the word "Penguins" written clearly across the back. The video also showed the suspect had several tattoos on his arms and a very unusual tattoo on the top of his right hand.

The video showed the suspect entering through a side door and forcing the office door open where he picked up several bank deposit bags . He then went into the bar area and was seen prying open several gaming machines and removing money.

According to the business owner, the bank bags contained $1,163, and $775 was taken from the gaming machines.

On July 13, surveillance video recorded a white male breaking into the bar again. The owner told the officer he believed the person who broke into his business was the same one who had burglarized the business in June. He reached this conclusion by viewing the July 13 surveillance video, which showed a man with the same distinctive tattoos as the man from the June break-in.

According to the report, while at the bar the officer was contacted by a fellow officer who said he had just made contact with a man matching the description of the burglary suspect at a motel in the 5000 block of Ridgewood Avenue.

The officer went to the motel and met with Fank. The officer identified Fank as the same person in surveillance videos from both burglaries.

The officer said he was investigating several burglaries at a local bar and read Fank his Miranda rights. Fank waived his rights and agreed to answer any questions.

When asked if he knew anything about the burglaries, Fank said he did not. The officer then showed Fank images from the video.

Fank then admitted to breaking into the bar, taking the deposit bags, breaking into the machines and a jukebox and removing money.

Fank was arrested and taken to the Port Orange Police Department for processing where a background check revealed he was on felony probation. He was taken to the Volusia County Branch Jail where he was held without bond.
